We were meant to be a child of The Father, a soldier of The Warrior, a scribe of The Romantic, a seer of The Sage, a follower of The Master, and a beloved of The Lover. Some of us all at the same time, some of us one by one - the roles may overlap like a timeline or they may be part of a venn diagram, but it is what we are.

Some will exhibit stronger roles than others. Don’t let them look down on you for what you are. The eyes cannot taste, and the ears cannot smell - each has a part to play in the Body.

Don’t suppress your heart - even the warrior needs to feel. Don’t lay down your sword - the poet also needs to fight. And even as your wisdom grows as a sage, you will always be a child in some way.

Know that you are loved. You are made good, but your being has been shrouded in darkness for too long. You have been redeemed, but the redemption has been forgotten. You are cleansed, but the mirror is dirty because we look at it through tainted eyes.

This is what we were meant to be. You don’t have to earn it, it’s already prepared for you like a Christmas present wrapped under the tree. You can’t lose it - and each time you think you have you’ll find that it’s just back where it belonged waiting for you to pick up the mantle again.

Pick up the robes, the sword, the pen, the listening ear, the hands of initiative and the heart to feel. Pick them up.

Believe it.

Fight for it.

This is what you were meant to be. This is what you were created to be.

This is your destiny.
