Word.
Everyone has a right to their own opinions. If you don’t like something, there’s no point in anyone trying to change your mind. However, if you choose to insult someone directly, it would be considered hating. Wether or not you try and counteract your hate with “Well, I said she was pretty”, it was still a directly negative comment. If you don’t know me personally, you have no grounds to determine what is meaningful to me or my life. It’s funny that people are so quick to judge, to assume that something has no meaning, yet when someone does the same to them, they get defensive and start with the “YOU DON’T KNOW ME!!” comments. It’s unfortunate that there are ignorant, hypocritical people who don’t understand the difference between sharing your opinion and hating on someone. Be your own person, form your own beliefs, but remember, everyone else has their own and if you don’t want someone to judge you unfairly, don’t do it to them. Also, if you’re going to use big words, understand their definition and what context to use them in. For being in class, I’d have thought you would’ve known better.
