Dropbox
If you guys haven’t heard of it yet, there’s this amazing app for the mac/windows/iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch/BlackBerry/Android called Dropbox. I’ve used this for a couple of years to keep things synced between multiple computers, or at one point of time just for the convenience of viewing things like Excel spreadsheets, PDFs, and Word docs on my phone. When iBooks came it, Dropbox...

Rain rant
I normally don’t post stuff like this here, because I’d like to think I’m generally not an angry or angsty person but today’s rain seems to have revealed the worst in everyone in Singapore. Yes, that’s right, this is going to be a post on one aspect of the “ugly Singaporean”. So everyone here knows it’s been raining almost non stop for a week....

How I'm reminded my mom loves me
In the morning: Mom: Oh, we’re out of milk. (I’m the only one in the family who drinks milk) Me: Nah it’s cool. I’ll pick up something if I get back in time tonight before the supermarket closes. When I get back home, close to 12:30am… I open the fridge to find a big 2 liter jug of low-fat Meiji milk, my favourite, sitting there. <3 I love you too, mom :)

Sorry for the false alarm - just testing out how Facebook works with linking both twitter and tumblr, seeing as twitter and tumblr are already linked for me :)

TossedTurned
And as the waves charged against the planks With the force of many tanks Where splinters started to form from shanks And the boat began despairing In the darkest portion of the night When daylight was nowhere in sight Yet, so desperate was the need for light A comfort from the wearing She closed her eyes and shed her tears Resigned to fate, it would appear That waves would batter far and near...

2010 Retrospections (Part 2)
Today was a heavy day, and as heavy days lead to heavy hearts and heavy thoughts, I was tempted to return to the solitude of my room and watch a mindless movie over a Corona or a Breezer. More sensible head prevailed, and I ended up eating Oreos with a glass of cold, cold milk and watching Big Bang Theory, thanks to EK and Dr Sheldon Cooper, whose unintentional jokes fuse both humour and nerdom. ...

Learning In Leaving Them There
I started the morning as usual, Bringing the day to God, Thinking I was dutiful, I brought Him all my thoughts. I told Him all my worries, My concerns and my cares, I told Him things I wanted: The who and hows and wheres. I laid them all right at His feet, Or so I thought I did; For when I stopped my chatter I was met with silence instead. I got no word from His voice, No sense of what to do,...

Illogical
I’ll do my crying in the rain - The Everly Brothers But I do my crying on my runs. Heal my heart and make it clean; Open up my eyes to the things unseen. The heart and the head is at war again, fighting to find their equilibrium, trying to temper each other, and I simply don’t understand what I feel. But then again emotions are hardly logical. At least for me, most of the...

Looking Back on 2010
It’s a little late to post this up but I’m putting it up here in short point form after reflections after coming back from CG - read it after the break if you want to :) Looking back on 2010: I have learned the meaning of sacrifice, what it entails to turn the other cheek, what it means to put others before yourself. I have had joys, and I have had some of those joys torn from me. ...
